Transportation
Increasing mobility, reducing congestion and improving air quality are our main goals in Northeast Tarrant County. Our two largest projects are the North Tarrant Expressway, which includes I-820 North, Airport Freeway and I-35 North and the DFW Connector which encompasses and major bottleneck at the north end of DFW International Airport. This project includes S.H. 114, I-635, S.H. 121, S.H. 26, S.H. 360, F.M. 1709, F.M. 2499 and numerous other major arterials roads. Both of these projects have been awarded funding and will start construction in early 2010. I’m committed to work with TXDOT, our local cities and the contractors to assure the citizens that these project move forward with as little disruption as possible. Other projects in our area that are ready to start or are in the planning stage are: Extension of F.M. 1938 Phase 1 (S.H. 114 to the S. Westlake city limits); S.H. 26 Colleyville (Pool Rd. to Colleyville Main St.). North Tarrant Parkway (Davis Blvd. to U.S. 377); Rufe Snow Rd. (Keller) and Golden Triangle Blvd. (Fort Worth, Keller).
