Transportation
Increasing mobility, reducing congestion and improving air quality are our main transportation goals in Northeast Tarrant County.
Our two largest projects are the North Tarrant Express, which includes I-820 North, Airport Freeway, I-35 North, and the DFW Connector which will ultimately ease the traffic flow at the north end of DFW International Airport. This project includes S.H. 114, I-635, S.H. 121, S.H. 26, S.H. 360, F.M. 1709, F.M. 2499 and numerous other major arterial roads.
Both of these projects have been awarded funding and began construction in 2010. I’m committed to working with TXDOT, our local cities and the contractors to assure the citizens that these projects move forward with as little disruption as possible.
Other projects in our area that are in various stages of construction and completion are:
- Extension of F.M. 1938 Phase 1 (S.H. 114 to the S. Westlake city limits)
- S.H. 26 Grapevine (S.H. 114 to Pool Road)
- S.H. 26 Colleyville (Pool Road to John McCain)
- North Tarrant Parkway (Davis Blvd. to U.S. 377)
- Rufe Snow Rd. (Keller) and Golden Triangle Blvd. (Fort Worth, Keller)
